Easter Day pictures

Easter was a busy day, and we didn't get pictures of everyone, but Mike made sure he got a few pics of the ones that were wearing green.  Sydney took these...

Going in for some lovin':

"Braces" and a new bike!

Addy put a rubber bracelet in her mouth and told me to look at her. "I have braces!", she proudly proclaimed!  Funny girl!

She also got herself a new Barbie Bike- spent her birthday money and some of mine.  She was so excited and can't wait to see if it's good weather in the morning so she can practice riding.  Doesn't even take the bow out when she puts the helmet on...LOVES BIKE RIDING!

Easter 2012

City Easter Egg Hunt.

WOW! A whole basket full. Hopefully she'll share!

Frischknecht Easter Party at our Antelope Property. Egg hunt among the lambs...

When the kids found an egg, they had to ask Granny Jean a question about her life:

Our own Easter bunny treat hunt at home:

My little performer...

Addy has been such a performer lately at home.  I can always hear her singing and dancing around the house- usually Disney Princess songs.  I can't wait to take her to Disneyland...Here she is with a friend, Katelyn- they decided for their playdate they'd put on dance costumes and dance around...and that's just what they did:

Addy dancing with her Daddy to the Sunday music over the intercom- note her true gracefulness...not sure where we learned that...

Addy has been learning the song from Rapunzel. She needed a little help, but she's getting it...love the hands at the end...watch:

Ice Skating with the Duckwitz'

For Family night one night, we drove up to Provo and went ice skating with my sister's family.  That was Addy's first time and she and Ashlyn LOVED it!  Here they are watching the zamboni:

The whole crew...

We had SO much fun and now ideas are swirling around in my head for making an ice rink on our property next winter.  Mike was going to do it this year, but the winter wasn't cold enough...boo!

Some things we have been up to...

Catching up from the camera dump:

Flute player party:

                                                            Preschool at our house!
"Greenie" package sent to the cousin on a mission (he's a greenie- and it was sent around St. Patrick's Day. The kids wrote notes and made sayings to go on the green stuff. It was silly, but we laughed and had fun.):

Manti City Youth Council- trip to Capital- McKenzie is in back.

Bradley turned 15.  Mike made him a pink heart cake, since he is a Valentine's baby and we told him he wouldn't have a pink cake when he was a teenager. We had a family party and even Grandma Howell was in town!  His favorite gift I think was the Bolo tie from Grandma and Grandpa F.  It was my grandfather's, so Bradley's Great-grandpa's.

Western Concert...Date night with Bradley

Bradley and I decided to go see the Bar J Wranglers in concert.  Bradley didn't know who they were at first, but we laughed at their silliness and loved the music.  Even the yodeling!  We bought a CD to enjoy and Bradley got their autographs.  It was a fun night.  I didn't know if I'd even like it- going for Bradley, really, since he is loving country music and anything cowboy lately.  But I found myself enjoying it as much as he did.  When we got home, he opened up the CD and I cleaned the kitchen while we listened to more.  FUN!

Snow College Honor band , Utah All-state Band, and Flute Choir

Here are some pictures from the Snow College Honor band:  McKenzie auditioned and made 1st chair and played both her flute and piccolo.  She had some SWEET solos...

Utah All-State Band photos.  She was 3rd chair in her section.  The music was amazing!  And she met so many fun kids...

With her flute teacher, Elaine.  She amazes us...she has made a HUGE difference in McKenzie's life- not sure how we'll ever repay her.  She spends hours working with her- especially in the summer and has invited her to participate in so many opportunities with the college.  She told a PR person from Julliard that McKenzie is very talented.  I keep telling her she's a lot to do with her abilities!  She is the most sweet, positive teacher McKenzie has had and brought out the best in her.  LOVE her!

Snow College Flute choir playing in St. George at a Music Teacher Convention:
Riding to the convention with the other musicians- fun times!:

Broken arm :(

Well, with boys- I guess it's inevitable.  Broken arms come with the territory sometimes.  I was at work and got a call that Mike was taking Nathan to the ER.
He had been wrestling with a rough older brother and the kids heard a snap!
1 week in a temporary cast,
6 trips to the orthopedic specialist,
6 weeks in a cast,
 8 x-rays,
$600 out of pocket
but one VERY PATIENT boy!
Nathan has the best attitude when things don't go so well.  I hope he keeps that his entire life!  Not once did I hear him complain about the pain or the annoyances that came along with it.  He is an amazing kid!
