Spring Break photos... Southern Utah/ Zion's National Park

Our Condo we rented: So MUCH nicer than a hotel.

Cove Fort Volunteer showing us a wooden toy the kids got to take home:

St. George:
More of Cove Fort- so windy that day!

Indian Petroglyphs in Southern Utah. A lady came by and explained the mountain goats and other figures. She showed us how to tell how old the petroglyphs were. She and her husband were experts and hired to take pictures.

While the big kids/men were hiking up Angel's Landing in Zion's National Park, Jen and I and the kids took a hike we thought was short...but it wasn't too short- especially with little kids. We ended up at a little wading stream and rested there before we went back. It was fun though!

Our Summer fun plans...

A friend from college asked if anyone made plans for the summer with their kids. Here's mine I put together this week with the idea from The Crafting Chicks:
http://thecraftingchicks.com/2011/05/summer-fun-chart-and-photo-journal.html

Mine's not quite as cute, but the same idea. The kids were SO excited to think of all the fun things we are going to do this summer. Can't wait! (But I need a couple of days after school gets out to relax first.)

A strange place to take a nap...

Mother's Day Literary Club Luncheon

Fun to go to a Mother's Day luncheon with mom and my sister Corinne and sis-in-law Jennifer! Missed Erika! Our daughters performed at the luncheon, so fun!

Look what sweet face I woke up to!

See what the Easter Bunny brought!

The kids were SO excited- especially Sydney- to get a bunny. Sydney mostly takes care of the bunny every day. She'll start 4-H this summer!

Random photos of the month...

Addy ran right into a stack of plates I was carrying and split open her eyelid. Luckily for us there are doctors in the family who patched her right up. Now she has one purple eye that looks like we put on eyeshadow. NOT YET!Cute little Addy always has a smile...

Grandpa King's 93rd Birthday

My sweet Grandpa had a birthday- 93- and most of his family came. There were a lot of us!
With 3 of the 4 sweet daughters:

Being entertained by Aunt Diane and Ron- a sort of sing-a-long!

Easter 2011

Easter was fun this year. We had the usual egg hunt in the family room, and getting the Easter Baskets from the Easter Bunny ( a tradition from my childhood carried on). We did it on Saturday so we could really focus on a nice Easter Dinner and the important stuff on Sunday. The 2 younger went to the city Easter Hunt too!

Decorating the eggs:
The whole Clan at Broken Arrow Ranch- thanks Marla and Paul!

Great- Granny gets a hug from Nathan and Addy for the treasure hunt- a special coin!

Games- always!
In our family our tradition is rolling the eggs we decorated down a hill until they smash to smithereens!

Rolling down a hill is boring to the teens. They have to come up with other contraptions:

Cute Cousins:

Nathan's eggs weren't smashed fast enough- he used a rock:
Fun memories...fun times...lots of food!

Birthday Surprise

Mike surprised me with a birthday party! He made the main dishes- bacon wrapped chicken, salmon and other yummy food. Everyone else brought salads. He even made me an ice- cream cake and it was yummy!
Grandma with some of the little ones:

Ashlyn and Addy- matching cousins!

Grandpa is always getting attacked:
After the little girls played, we looked over in the great room and saw
this ingenious way to use kleenex:
Silly Matthew making everyone laugh:
Horsey Grandpa:
Ok...Erika and I didn't get the "Crazy Picture" memo:
I told my fam all I wanted for my bday was some snapshots of me with my siblings. We always forget to take them when we are together. So we had a little photo shoot:

Mike making the Cheer- down- in- front pose:

Have to compare this next one with the one above. Mike decided to be "mental" in one of them:
