For the longest time, the tradition at our elementary is that the 5th graders will do the Maypole. We look forward to it every year. The biggest changes since I was a girl is that they wear matching tshirts instead of Sunday best (my mom always made us a frilly new dress) and they use modern music instead of the traditional music. I love tradition so am glad they still do this, but almost wish it was the same as when I was a girl. Fun anyway.
