Christmas 2011

Our REAL Christmas tree...

Making Gingerbread houses...
Addy's little candy house...

At the Ward Party...Nathan asked Santa for a SeaScope...???

Addy (well Daddy, really) asked for a dolly.

And Sydney?  Santa told her it needed to be something REALLY special, so she asked for a baby brother.  Everyone laughed...Mike and I the loudest. NOT happening!

Christmas Eve:

Nathan had fun with Brian

Christmas Eve Dinner (little kid table)

Cool cousins on Christmas Eve

The traditional Nativity...
Girl Cousins
Addy's Ballet dance for the talent portion
Christmas Eve Pj's... (Yes, Bradley wanted red-handled long-johns...with a button flap back)

Waiting to come upstairs...Smallest first
(hoping she won't get trampled)
 Christmas Morning

Addy was SO excited (can't tell from this picture) to get a Leapster!

Nathan's favorite: walkie talkies!

Everyone got socks...they were thrilled...Bradley actually got a compound bow and was excited.
Nathan's load...

Addie's haul...Even a Bitty Baby!
Sydney was happy to get Kanani American Girl doll, and was SO excited to get an Egyptian Archaeology kit. She LOVES Egypt!

McKenzie found some 100$ bills on the tree attached to a note that said, "flute money".  She wants a new headjoint that comes from New York and costs 3,000$.  Here is her start.  She also got lots of jewelry, hair stuff and make -up and music and a metrinome/tuner.

Addison showing off the jewelry McKenzie made her.

Dad with his double tp holder Bradley made for him in shop.  The note attached said, "Now you can do your duty with pride", complete with a drawing of the American flag...Bradley always makes us laugh!

My 3 guys with their 3 ties...Dad bought them all new ties.

American Girls make us happy in this house!

Holiday performances

Lots and lots of holiday concerts and perfomances this year. I'll post a few pictures. The first it Musical Dance theater company. Nathan was in the boy's musical theater class and Sydney is in the Senior company. It was a really cute show!

Nathan in "Let it Snow"

Sydney in the black bonnet on the right side:

McKenzie in the Jazz band (piano) Bradley in the back on trumpet (we had to laugh because 5 of the jazz band members are cousins from our family).
McKenzie played piano for the concert choir and sang and played flute for jazz and concert bands. They did a great job!
Light parade performance... Sydney's dance:

More musical dance theater: Sydney's the one with reddish hair.
Elementary school perfomance...Here's the entire school singing at the end:
Nathan's 4th graders. He's in front in the red sweater (he LOVES singing and performing...who knew?)

Addy turns 4!

I can't believe my baby is 4! We had a combined family birthday party at our house. Addy wanted a princess cake...so this is what I came up with. She had so much fun with her cousins, cake and presents! She really is a sweet girl and we love having her around! She brightens our home with her little ray of sunshine!
All she wanted was a princess barbie...She got Rapunzel!
This banner is out of fabric and I decided to make it that week so I have something I can re-use. It worked out well!

Addy shared the party with Steven...
And Jacob...

These next few pictures I had to add...randomness of Addison. Not too happy (which is unusual for her)...
This is the way scripture reading goes often...
And this last one I caught after she fell asleep writing her letters. She LOVES writing her letters and will spend TONS of time writing and drawing...Oh- and dancing...more to come for that...

My sweet little girl! Oh how we love her!

Catching up...Halloween 2011

We had lots of Halloween Activities this year. Starting off with carving our pumpkins...

Then we had a family party of Saturday...LOTS of cousins and aunts and uncles...games, food, trunk-or treating...
Halloween night visit to the grandparents...
Bradley's homemade costume:

This may look weird...but if you were there you would understand. Each family had to pick someone to dress up as a ghost with tissue paper, etc. This was HILARIOUS! Great-Grandma chose the winner. She of course had to choose ours...the little one! Although I thought the others were pretty funny!
The town puts on a great Trunk-Or-Treat down main street. I've felt bad that people don't do the old-fashioned trick or treating much anymore, but this was fun too. We still went around to a few houses...

COUSINS

Here's a few random cousin shots from my camera. My nephew Calan got his mission call to Argentina, which was exciting for all of us, but will be weird to have one of them gone...especially the oldest cousin on my side. He is a great young man.
The other pictures are just fun cousin pictures I found and wanted to add in.
