Last Day of school

Our teachers for all the kids have been INCREDIBLE this year. They have not only taught them what they needed to, but have also helped to instill confidence, and all those wonderful character traits we try to teach them at home as well, such as caring, honesty, and doing what's right. THANKS to Mrs. Laird and Anderson, Mrs. Coyne, Mrs. Pease and all of McKenzie's teachers, especially Mr. Weller. KUDOS!!

Sydney Birthday

Sydney's Webkinz Birthday party was a favorite!! She had a few friends over and they went to the floral store to pick out a Webkinz, and they came home and played with them, ate spagghetti (Syd's favorite), made name necklaces for their webkinz, designed some clothes for them, and had sundaes. Mom spent the few hours sewing whatever the girls asked her to do. They loved it- mom was exhausted!! Happy 9th, Sydney!

our kids on helium...

McKenzie and Bradley discovered the humor in helium at the family wedding dinner for Sarah. Talk about life of the party!! It was pretty funny!

New photos of Addie and mom!

I took Addison for her 6 month photos and jumped in a few. They turned out good, except she wouldn't smile much. Too interested in what was going on. Oh well!

Mother's Day and Sarah's Wedding

We went to our neice, Sarah's wedding and visited Mike's mom for Mother's Day. Here are some of the photos of our memories we made:

At the family dinner the night before the wedding.

At the wedding at the Redlands Temple. It was a beautiful day and the temple grounds were beautiful with lots of roses and other flowers.

At the reception... our kids were hilarious at the dance!! They really boogie'd down!! It was fun!

Mike, Steve, Jeff and Debbie with their mom on Mother's Day. She fixed us a nice lunch- isn't that how it is on Mother's Day sometimes? The mother does all the work. It was nice to see her- it's a rare occasion we can visit like that, since we don't live close.

Some kid fun on Mother's Day!! And this was only 3 of the 5 kids!! UGGHH!

Nathan's gash...

Nathan came around the corner worried about breaking my guitar string, and he gashed his head open. Since the ER is 40 minutes away, Mike cleaned it out, shaved a section, and butterfly bandaged it. We went to the doctor today, and they checked it out and said "Who did this?" When I said Mike did it, she asked if he was a paramedic. He did such a good job.

Grandpa King's 90th Birthday in Utah

Trip to Utah

Addison and I went to Utah for Grandpa King's 90th birthday. Addy's first airplane ride- waiting in the airport for our plane to be fixed. We wondered if we wanted to go on the plane after all!!

Dressed up for Sunday...

Erika and I with our new Do's. We had an afternoon at the spa. Thanks Greg, for babysitting so long- I needed an overhaul!! They cut off 10 inches! WoW!!

With Grandma and quilt she made for Addison...

McKenzie's 14th birthday party

McKenzie had a HAIRSPRAY birthday party for her 14th birthday. She had 8 girls over and they had a big hair competition, pinata, musical chairs, limbo, pizza and chocolate fondue. They watched the movie and had a wild time!! McKenzie dressed up as Penny- complete with the sucker in her mouth! It was funny! Nathan got into the action and wanted his hair like "LINK". McKenzie and her friends always have a lot of fun together.

The kids movie

The kids are now inspired to make movies from my little digital camera and movie making computer program. They did this by themselves (I receive no credit)- and wanted me to put it on our blog. So move over Hollywood- here comes the Howell filmmakers! Ha Ha!

Addie starts real food!

Addison is loving Rice cereal and sweet potatoes. We had to start her on solids because she kept wanting to grab what we were eating and drinking. She takes a few spoonfuls each evening and is starting to figure out how to get it down instead of pushing it out with her tongue. She is also starting to sit up on her own. When she gets that down, she'll be even happier! She doesn't like laying down too much- wants to see what's going on!

Mckenzie gets her ears pierced!

I was finally o.k. with McKenzie getting her ears pierced for her 14th birthday. She was nervous, but finding musical earrings made her feel better! Welcome to the grown-up world, McKenzie!
