First Day of School

These kiddos were all nervous for their first day at new schools. Mike gave them a father's blessing the night before, which helped. Bradley didn't want a picture, but I got the rest...they looked cute!

Addy-isms

The last couple days Addy has made me laugh (and embarrassed me royally). Here are some of the things that have unexpectedly come out of her mouth:

Addy: "Cinderella is gettin' married".
Me: "She is?"
Addy: "Ya, Cinderella is gettin' married in the temple!"

Addy: (to the secretary of the insurance office): "I like your BIG Chest!" (She said this 3 times even though I tried to distract her because she wanted the lady to say something like, "Oh- thanks!" Addy felt like she was truly giving a compliment.

Me: "I'm going to run some errands, wanna come?"
Addy: "Ya!" (excitedly), "I want to go to Erin's!" (a 6 yr old cousin- then she asked all day to go to Erin's)

Addy: (to the insurance guy, looking at the dog cleaning himself): "Ooh- that dog is gross- what's he doing?"

Addy: (again to the insurance guy): "The dog is pooping on your couch"...

As you can tell we really made an impression with the insurance office! My face took a while for the red to go away!

Nathan's baptism

It was fun to have a baptism with all the cousins and family able to attend...

Nathan in the middle of all his cousins:

Mike baptized and confirmed Nathan on Aug 20th, 2010 on Mike's birthday. Mike said it was the best present he could have asked for.

Progress...

We now have a hole and footings. This week the foundation will be done (hopefully). We are getting anxious!!!

Lunch with Jan and Seattle trip

Mike's sister Jan is moving to Texas...just as we move to Utah. We are sad for us, but excited for their new adventures. The kids and I went up and took them to lunch at the Olive Garden in Murray. We'll miss them!

Mike's sister Val's husband Bill passed away, so last weekend we drove up with Steve and Tanya and took our little Addison to Seattle. It was a long drive in a cramped car, but well worth it. We were so glad to see family, even though it was a hard time. They are still in our thoughts and prayers. Jeff and Heidi let us stay a few nights in their home and it was a weekend full of good food and games. Monday was the funeral and we were sure glad we were there. We'll all miss Bill.

Thought the family would like to see the flower funeral spray they all contributed to:

Mike talking to Val before the funeral. Mike spoke and did a wonderful job talking on the plan of salvation.

What a sad occasion to visit family, but we were glad we did. My parents watched the other kids and we were grateful.

Tahoe vacation

We took a little mini vacation to Tahoe on our way to Utah. The kids had a great time!

The shoe tree in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. Wish we had some shoes to add to the collection!

Grandparents

Addy has really enjoyed getting to know Grandpa King and my parents better! When Grandpa King is over, she goes in to the front room where he is resting and gives him a hug and says, "Hi Grandpa King!" about every half hour while he is here. He loves it! He tells me she is a really special girl and how much he loves her and how much it makes his day to have her attention.

Seeing old friends...

Part of the fun of moving back to Utah is seeing old friends... The funny thing is we have a group of California friends that now live in Utah. We got to go to Olivia's baptism and have lunch at the Schnell's beautiful home. It was so fun to see everyone!
